We had a heck of a storm Friday. It got really dark around 4:30, the wind whipped up and the rain came. Boy did it come, the wind was quite wicked as well. We sat in the living room watching it rain so hard you couldn’t see out the living room window. About 5:30 it was all over, the sky bright like nothing had happened. Something DID happen though, trees were uprooted, power line knocked down, branches everywhere and a house had its roof torn off. Here in town, it was just a storm. The conservation area that was to host the Hawk Festival sustained heavy tree damage and was forced to close this weekend for the safety of the public as they clean up.

It turned into a beautiful evening as Harlow and I went for a walk around 7:30 with the only evidence of a storm being the puddles. I might add Harlow had to walk through E.V.E.R.Y puddle as we walked. A beautiful night sky and calm waters, hard to believe the weather was so violent just hours earlier.
