My January goals:
Eat one meatless meal per week.--this has not happened unless you count lunch which I don't. However, I did a meal plan last week and stuck to it, for the entire week
Create and maintain a budget for the month, to write down each purchase in a notebook--haven't done the budget as I wanted to track my spending this month, which I have been doing faithfully
Purge and organize the closets--yes, all of them--umm yeah this is still on the 'to do' list
Read two books this month--have started one
At least one day a week take Harlow to the trails for a good run--yesterday let her go crazy running about and she decided to take a swim while she was at it, silly dog
Practice Mindfulness for 10 minutes daily--really hit and miss to be honest
Take more photos with the DSLR--zero pics this week
Cut down on junk food, make better food choices--making improvements :)
Drink more water during the day (I am great in the evenings)--making improvements here as well
Post more on my blog, updates weekly.--9 days between posts so I am within I think :)
There are my updates, feeling pretty good so far and hoping to add some new ones for February. and we'll see where this goes. February may be a 'finishing projects' month.
I added a 40mm lens to my growing collection and have played with it a little bit. Not much as the weather hasn't been all that cooperative and there is only so much to take pictures of in the house. May have to get creative to find things. Thank goodness for the speed light as I can use it indoors. Harlow is not always a willing participant for photos even though I could shoot her daily....those eyes! Next up on 'I want' list is either the 10-20mm (10-24mm) or the 85mm, have to see how savings go as I have other items earmarked for my 'wants' account.
We were under a rainfall warning and flood advisories for the weekend which really put a damper on any plans for those two days. My friend and I were planning on attending an Ice Festival but all the rain, street flooding and the basic mess of lots of rain we decided to give it a miss. Hopefully next winter we will make it. Feeling the urge to do something, go somewhere. Wanderlust has bitten yet again.
40mm lens, so excited!! |
testing it out on my clock |
